Zivayi Chiguvare
Team Coordinator NUST
Dr. Zivayi Chiguvare is Director of the Namibia Energy Institute (NEI) of the Namibia University of Science and Technology. He has held teaching posts at the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa and the University of Zimbabwe where he coordinated the Master’s Programme in Renewable Energy in the Faculty of Engineering. He also served as the Projects Manager on the Zimbabwe National Bio-diesel Project. Dr. Zivayi Chiguvare holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Oldenburg in Germany.
Gideon Gope
Mr. Gideon Gope is the Deputy Head of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Namibia University of Science and Technology in Windhoek, where he is currently lecturing courses in power systems engineering and power electronics application in power systems. He holds a B.Sc. Honours degree in Electrical Engineering and M.Sc. degree in Electrical Power Engineering. He is member of the Association of Energy Engineers (A.E.E, USA) and is a Certified Energy Auditor (CEA). Previously, he has held positions as research scientist/engineer at the Scientific and Industrial Research and Development Centre (SIRDC) in Zimbabwe and lecturer at the University of Zimbabwe, Department of Electrical Engineering. His research interests are in energy management, energy modelling, power system modelling and the application of synchrophasors in power systems.
Ndakema Hamunghete
Mr. Ndakema Hamunghete is NEEP Project Energy Efficiency assistant at the Namibia Energy Institute of the Namibia University of Science and Technology.
Samuel John
Dr. Samuel John is Dean of the NUST Faculty of Engineering and Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
Kasnath Kavezeri
Ms. Kasnath Kavezeri is lecturer in the Department of Accounting,Economics & Finance of the NUST Faculty of Management Sciences.
Maduako Okorie
Mr. Maduako Emmanuel Okorie is a lecturer with the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Namibia University of Science and Technology.
Al-Mas Sendegeya
Dr. Al-Mas Sendegeya is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering of the Namibia University of Science and Technology, and Head of the NUST Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering. He has a BSc degree in Engineering (Electrical), a MSc degree in Renewable Energy, and a PhD in Power Systems, with a specialization in rural electrification. He has long-term experience in tertially education and training, and provides consultancy in the fields of sustainable energy and renewable energy.
Candidus Tomeka
Mr. Candidus Tomeka is a lecturer with the Department of Civil Engineering at the Namibia University of Science and Technology. He holds a MSc degree in Infrastructure Planning from the University of Stuttgart, Germany.
