UNESCO Chair at ESCI-UPF

The UNESCO Chair in Life Cycle and Climate Change at ESCI-UPF, headed by Dr. Pere Fullana i Palmer, consists of a team of 10 full time employed international researchers specialized in Life Cycle Assessment, Ecodesign and Ecolabelling applied to different sectors. The team also has expertise in green public procurement and environmental impact assessment applied to different sectors including renewable and waste management. The team is completed by a communications manager and an administration manager. There are also non-permanent collaborations with a variety of experts and research interns.

The Business School of International Trade (ESCI)

The Business School of International Trade (ESCI) is a university centre founded in 1993, as a joint initiative of the Generalitat de Catalunya and Universitat Pompeu Fabra. ESCI promotes research in order to provide solutions to environmental problems due to international trade. It aims to develop and share knowledge of sustainability to help organizations in their internationalization models, create the appropriate knowledge to provide training in the field of environmental management for international students as experts and represent our country in areas where trade and environmental management are closely linked.

Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), Barcelona

The UPF was established as a public university by agreement of the Catalan Parliament in 1990. Currently more than seven thousand students study at UPF. UPF is a Campus of International Excellence. It leads the Spanish ranking in Social Sciences and is included in Top 200 World University Ranking. Five bachelor degrees taught at UPF are considered the best in Spain. UPF has an enormous technological capacity, modern facilities and research at the highest level, offering programmes in Social Sciences, Humanities, Communication & IT, Health & Life Sciences.
