Alessandro Flammini

Alessandro Flammini is an expert on energy and sustainable development with experience in multi-lateral relations; programme and project management; technologies and policies related to low-carbon energy systems, bioenergy, GHG emissions, agriculture, food chain, sustainable development, and international technical cooperation.

He is a member of the FAO Energy group since 2007 and has experience working with UN agencies (FAO, UNIDO, UNDP, UNDESA), the European Commission, NGOs, the public and private sector. He has also experience in project assessment/screening and evaluation.

Over the last 8 years he worked closely with both developed and developing countries, including Angola, Brazil, Colombia, China, Guinea-Bissau, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mauritius, Senegal, Somalia, Thailand, Tunisia, Tanzania, Peru, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Ghana and the ECOWAS region.

Alessandro holds a Masters degree in Management Engineering (Industrial engineering and business management), a post-grad Masters degree in Management of Energy Resources and a PhD in Environmental Sciences.
