Contents: How to integrate an analysis of the feasibility, viability and desirability of the metabolic pattern integrating different dimensions – energy, food, water, land uses - across different scales; MuSIASEM approach (Multi-Scale Integrated Analysis of Societal and Ecosystem Metabolism) using a prototype analysis of a country and a village; Use of the Environmental Impact Matrix for the analysis of feasibility/external constraints; Use of the Multi-Level End Uses Matrix for the analysis of viability/internal constraints.
